MUNDELEIN, Ill. (AP) - A 17-year-old boy from suburban Chicago is accused of pointing a replica assault rifle at passing cars.
The teen, who is from Mundelein, was arrested in Lake County and taken to a juvenile detention facility.
The sheriff's office said Sunday that deputies responded to a call of a passenger in a car with a rifle and a mask on a road near Long Grove.
Police from Mundelein stopped the car and determined that the teen had a toy replica M-16 rifle. He's charged in juvenile court with three counts of aggravated assault.
