Rauner “very disappointed” in Emanuel

Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner says he’s quote “very disappointed” in Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.  Today reporters asked Rauner if he has confidence in Mayor Emanuel given major financial issues at Chicago Public Schools and a federal investigation into police operations.

The governor says Emanuel hasn’t done enough to make “structural changes.”

"I am very disappointed in the mayor and in the state’s attorney for Cook County. Very disappointed. I’m not going to say more than that right now because there’s a lot of investigation going on, but I’m very disappointed."

Rauner also says he supports allowing voters to recall elected officials and he would sign a bill being pushed that would allow voters to recall Chicago’s mayor.  But he thinks that bill would be too late to affect Emanuel if it’s approved.
