More than 500 artifacts offering a glimpse of life in ancient Greece are coming to The Field Museum in Chicago this November.
The exhibition is titled "The Greeks: From Agamemnon to Alexander the Great."
The pieces are drawn from the collections of nearly two dozen Greek museums and many of the objects have never been seen outside the country.
Highlights include artifacts from the tombs of Bronze Age rulers of the fortified city of Mycenae. Other objects come from the tomb of Philip II, the father of Alexander the Great.
The exhibit offers a look at the lives of Minoan and Mycenaean rulers and priestesses, aristocratic warriors and ladies from the Archaic period and athletes from the Classical period.
The show runs from Nov. 26 to April 17.
