Sailor from Chicago suburb dies on deployment in Abu Dhabi

A U.S. sailor from the Chicago suburb of Lisle has died in a noncombat incident during his first deployment overseas.   The U.S. Defense Department says 24-year-old Petty Officer 3rd Class Ryan D. Burris died Thursday in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.  The statement gave no information about the nature of the incident, which took place in the Zayed Military City and was still under investigation. Petty Officer Ryan was deployed in support of the operation against the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria. Burris went to Lisle High School and joined the Navy in 2012. His grandfathers, father and uncle also served in the military.
