It's become a tradition, every year during the state fair, someone is recognized as the Illinoisian of the Day.
The Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation is accepting nominations for this year's fair, to be held in Springfield in August.
According to a press release, the honoree should exemplify the Land of Lincoln by showing integrity, dependability, sense of community, and strong ethics.
Nominees must be Illinois residents who are at least 25 years old. Forms are available on the website, and must be submitted by June 26th.
