Documents show that federal prosecutors are investigating spending and other issues at the College of DuPage in suburban Chicago. Subpoenas were served Monday to college administrators. The subpoenas cover administrator expenses, contracts with the school's fundraising foundation and credits awarded to police recruits at a law enforcement academy on the school's campus.
A spokesman for the school and its foundation says they will cooperate fully with any government investigation and "are confident in the proper conduct of their affairs." A spokeswoman for federal prosecutors declined comment. DuPage County prosecutors and state education officials also are investigating the school.
