Daley calls Quinn's appointment to CTA board political

An appointment to the Chicago Transit Authority board is the latest issue to spark a debate between Bill Daley and Governor Pat Quinn.

Quinn recently recommended that Frank Zuccarelli be named to the CTA board. Zuccarelli is a trustee in Cook County’s south suburbs.

Daley, who’s running against Quinn in next year’s Democratic primary, says it’s a political appointment designed to help Quinn get votes.

"We’ve all been around a very long time. We know the game and this is the usual game. But all I’m saying is that the usual politics has got to change."

Quinn says the appointment is not political. He says Daley should look at political appointments his brother made while he was Chicago’s mayor.
