Gordon-Booth Easily Defeats Libertarian Grimm For Another Term

State. Rep. Jehan-Gordon Booth (D-Peoria) handily defeated Libertarian challenger Chad Grimm for the 92nd District seat.

Gordon-Booth has represented the district since 2009. She's run unopposed in the last several cycles, but Grimm overcame a petition challenge this year to vie against the Democrat.

Gordon-Booth won 74% of the vote versus Grimm's 26%, cruising to reelection.

Gordon-Booth is assistant majority leader in the Illinois House. She was also one of the main co-sponsors ushering through recreational cannabis legalization legislation in 2019, with a focus on expungements and criminal justice reforms within the legislative package.

Gordon-Booth hails from Peoria. The 92nd District includes the southern half of the city of Peoria, Peoria Heights, Bartonville, and Norwood.
