What Do Peoria Entrepreneurs Need to Jump Start Their Businesses?

A group of organizations is trying to identify the biggest needs for budding entrepreneurs in the greater Peoria area.

Jake Hamann is the Executive Director of the Peoria Innovation Alliance. He said funding and capital to start up businesses is a need already identified, but the second demand he’s heard is perhaps not as obvious.

“And the second thing which has been interesting, which has been mentoring. So looking for connecting with mentors that have experience in specific areas, and finding an easy way to be able to connect with those mentors.”

Hamann said retired executives with SCORE and other organizations are looking to help mentor people starting up their own businesses.
