NWS: 2 tornadoes confirmed near Henry on Sunday night

An EF-1 tornado touched down late Sunday night near a trailer park north of Henry. It was one of two tornadoes reported Sunday in Marshall County. Nobody was injured.

An EF-1 tornado touched down late Sunday night near a trailer park north of Henry. It was one of two tornadoes reported Sunday in Marshall County. Nobody was injured.

The National Weather Service in Lincoln says two EF-1 tornadoes rolled through Marshall County near Henry on Sunday night.

A short tornado impacted a mobile home park north of Henry at 11:40 p.m. Sunday. Some trailers were heavily damaged by wind or hardwood debris. The NWS said straight-line winds caused the most damage. Hardwood trees were snapped about a third of the way up. Some softwood trees were also uprooted.

A second tornado touched down near Lake Wildwood at 11:42 p.m. Peak winds were 100 mph. "Extensive" tree damage was reported near Lake Wildwood.

Nobody was injured in either tornado. The NWS is still assessing damages throughout the region after Monday night's storms.
