Ameren Illinois says most customers should see power restored by Wednesday evening

Approximately 11,500 Ameren Illinois customers remain without power as of Wednesday morning. Ameren Illinois says 92,000 outages have been repaired since Monday night’s storms.

Ameren Illinois says 80% of its customers impacted by Monday night's storm should see their power restored by 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The power company says nearly 1,400 workers are actively in the field. Customers will be notified of their restoration time once it is set.

Wind gusts reached up to 105 mph in some places Monday evening, and damage was widespread.

Peoria Public Works is removing storm debris and restoring traffic signals on Tuesday. Cleanup efforts are expected to continue for the next few days. Call 309-494-8800 to report a downed tree or limb blocking a street, sidewalk or alley in the city of Peoria.
