The Central Illinois Hosta Society will meet on Tuesday, July 18 at 6:00 p.m. at Illinois Central College, 1 College Drive, East Peoria, IL.

Program: Hosta Design Contest

How to Participate: If possible, please bring entries for the contest (5:30-6 pm) so they can be logged in, for voting (6-6:30 pm). There will be 4 categories. Each category must contain at least one hosta leaf or hosta plant that corresponds to the mature size of the Hosta.
▪ Mini hosta
▪ Small to medium hosta
▪ Large to X-large hosta
▪ Potted hosta, grown in a container
Entries will be logged in and a number will be given to the entry. A corresponding plastic cup with the entry number will be placed with the entry. Members/guests will vote for the entries by placing money into the cup for each entry they like. One can vote for as many entries as they like. The winner in each category will be determined by counting the money in each cup for every entry. The highest amount collected in each category will be designated the winner. The prize for each category will be a $10.00 gift card from Hoerr's Nursery.

Refreshments and garden tour/voting begin at 6 p.m. followed by the meeting and program at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a lawn chair.

Directions: From Peoria, take War Memorial Drive (150) going East over the bridge and then turn right at the sign for ICC college. Turn left into Lot G, you will see a sign for the Horticulture Land Lab building and the garden pavilion. When coming from the other the
other side of the river take 150 West and turn left at the sign for ICC. Then turn left into Parking Lot G.
