More than 20 fire departments from across central Illinois responded to a business fire overnight in Farmington.

The blaze at Whiskey Dixie's Bar, 16 N. Cone St., was first reported around 9 p.m. Monday. Crews trying to make an interior sweep found heavy fire inside the bar, forcing them outside.

The fire spread to O'Brian's Parkside Deli, housed in the same building as the bar. The fire was contained around 11:30 p.m.

The building is a total loss, said authorities. Nobody was injured, and the building was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The cause is under investigation.
