Bloodlines: A Family Affair
The Foster Gallery at Peoria First United Methodist Church is pleased to exhibit Bloodlines: A Family Affair, Artwork by sculptor/painter Preston Jackson (father), photographer Natalie Jackson (daughter), and watercolorist Alice Y. Traore (daughter).
This exhibition explores the familial bond of father-to-daughters through visual art. Some legacies are tangible objects, while others materialize as values, principles, and actions. This exhibit represents a legacy of art—a precious gift a father has passed along to his daughters. For this family of artists, the gift of art is a home-base they return to and consider a mighty connector.
