The Accidentals return to Peoria with Kaboom Collective youth orchestra

On this week’s episode of Out and About, Jerry Kolb joins Jenn Gordon to talk about the concert celebrating the release of The Accidentals and the Kaboom Collective’s album, Reimagined.

The Accidentals, a 3-piece indie band, are said to be "among the most emotionally compelling songwriters of our time,” according to NPR. The band leads workshops across the country hoping to inspire other young musicians. Kaboom Collective, a 40-member studio orchestra comprised of professionals and students, reinvented a repertoire of the Accidentals’ cinematic music. The full orchestra put a fresh, robust sound to the basic tracks provided by The Accidentals.

The Reimagined concert happens on Aug. 4 at the Scottish Rite Theatre in Downtown Peoria. For tickets and information visit ScottishRishPeoria.com.
