Peoria Heights Athletic Director Resigns After Allegedly Sending "Inappropriate" Messages

Peoria Heights School District 325
Peoria Heights High School

The Peoria Heights School District Athletic Director has resigned after administrators say he sent inappropriate texts and social media messages to recent female graduates.

Matt King voluntarily resigned after school district officials contacted him and will not return.

Superintendent Dr. Eric Heath said the messages didn't rise to the level of illegal conduct, but weren't appropriate for a teacher to send to recent graduates.

Heath said he isn't aware of additional women who received the messages, but is asking anyone with more information to contact the school district or police.
