Peoria motorists can expect significant traffic delays on Allen Road Wednesday. The thoroughfare between Carriage Lane and Pioneer Parkway will be reduced to one lane beginning at 7:00 a.m. for a signal mast installation.
Flaggers will guide alternating one-way traffic at the Willow Knolls intersection. Specific detour signs will be posted along routes on Pioneer Parkway, War Memorial Drive, University Street and Illinois Route 6.
The city expects regular traffic will resume on Allen Road at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.
