Simulation program at Jump uses actors to help medical professionals do their jobs better

Doctors, nurses and other medical professionals will at some point in their careers have to determine the best ways to work as a team, give bad news to their patients, and communicate well with family members. A program through the Jump Trading Simulation and Education Center in Peoria aims to prepare medical students, and help working professionals improve how they deal with these situations. The program uses role play with regular people from the community. Peoria Public Radio’s Denise Molina reports on the so-called Standardized Participant program and whether it’s making a difference.
