Pekin police seeking car in connection with deaths of 2 people in reckless homicide investigation

Pekin police are looking for this vehicle in connection with the deaths of two people early Thursday morning in Pekin.

Two people are dead after they were struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Pekin. Police say they're investigating the incident as a reckless homicide.

Pekin Police Deputy Chief Seth Ranney said two people were found near the intersection of Caroline and N. 2nd streets just before 1:45 a.m.

A woman was pronounced dead on the scene. A man taken to the hospital later died. The Tazewell County Coroner's Office is making identifications and conducting autopsies.

Ranney said the police are currently looking for a 2015 Chrysler 200 with Illinois license plate CH 13681.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to stay away, and call police.
