Bradley University set to relax indoor mask mandate on Monday

Bradley University is following the state of Illinois in relaxing its indoor masking mandate rules starting on Monday, Feb. 28.

Masks will only be required in classrooms, labs, health and counseling services, and in BU police cruisers. They also may be required at events. in private offices or residences upon request.

Bradley University has a vaccination requirement for students and employees.

Gov. JB Pritzker is lifting the statewide indoor mask mandate on Monday, citing declining hospitalizations. The weekly COVID-19 case rate is down by 70%, and more than 8 million Illinoisans are fully vaccinated.

In the past week, 13,028 new COVID-19 cases and 355 additional deaths were announced statewide.
